Five Elements in the Pulse: Reading the Constitution
This course teaches you to feel a patient's dominant element in the pulse. That element tells you which five element point to choose on the meridian you want to strengthen.
Recorded in Polish, my native language, then translated into English and dubbed with an AI version of my own voice. English subtitles throughout.
- Diagnosis
- The dominant element, felt in the pulse as one of five distinct sensations.
- Treatment
- On the meridian you want to strengthen, the five element point that balances the dominant element: usually through the controlling cycle, sometimes through the generating cycle.
- Example
- Excess water, a weak small intestine: SI 5 (the fire point), SI 8 (the earth point) or SI 3 (the wood point).
5 lessons, 17 minutes. The first two lessons are free to watch.
How the dominant element determines the point
A five-minute example: you feel the dominant element in the pulse, then choose the element point on the meridian you want to strengthen.
What the course covers
- Finding the dominant elementFree previewWhy symptoms usually show an excess, and why every excess compensates for a deficiency.

- The pulse qualities of the five elementsWood, fire, earth, metal and water, each demonstrated under the pulse as a distinct sensation.
- Balancing through element pointsThe controlling cycle in practice: which element balances the dominant one, and which point on the weakened meridian carries it.
- Clinical applicationAdding the constitutional reading to your everyday diagnosis, from the first intake on.

Questions practitioners ask
Can I learn to feel the pulse online?
You learn the technique from the lessons and practice it at the wrist. Examine one or two pulses a day this way; after about two weeks most practitioners recognize the five elements.
Do I need experience?
If you know the basics of TCM and five element theory, you are ready. The course trains the feeling, not the theory.
How is this different from the 12 Positions course?
Here you read the pulse at the general level with three fingers: which element dominates. The 12 Positions course reads meridian by meridian: which one is in excess, which is deficient. The dominant element tells you what to balance, the weak position tells you where.
Will it fit my style of practice?
Yes. The constitutional reading is information you add to the method you already use.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime. One payment, no subscription.
