Two patients. Same complaint.
Same treatment. Opposite results.
The difference was in the pulse the whole time: the dominant element — wood, fire, earth, metal or water — that shapes your patient's symptoms and their response to treatment. This short course teaches you to feel all five as distinct sensations under your fingers, find the one that dominates, and balance it. Personalized acupuncture, decided at the wrist.

The whole method, in three moves
Middle finger behind the styloid process, two more beside it. First you allow yourself to feel — no analysis yet. Feel first, name later.
One of the five qualities dominates almost every pulse — and your patient's symptoms are almost always written in that excess.
Every excess is compensation for a deficiency. You balance the dominant element through element points on the weakened meridians.
You know the five elements.
And still —
- You can recite the generating and controlling cycles — but with your fingers on a wrist, the theory doesn't tell you what you're feeling.
- Two patients with the same complaint respond in opposite ways to the same treatment — and you can't explain why, so you can't predict it.
- The textbook describes each element's pulse in words. But a chart doesn't help you when your fingers are on the wrist and the patient is waiting.
- You treat the symptom that walked in — while the constitution underneath keeps pulling your results in its own direction.
The problem isn't your knowledge of five element theory. It's the order you were taught in: categories first, feeling never. Nobody trains the feeling — and feeling is the whole skill.
Feel them, don't memorize them.
The symptoms a patient reports are, ninety-nine times out of a hundred, related to some kind of excess — and every excess is compensation for a deficiency. That excess has an elemental signature, and it's written in the pulse. A patient with tremors, tics, racing thoughts? That's wind — an excess of wood. You can chase the symptoms one by one. Or you can feel the dominant element under three fingers and balance it.
Five qualities, five distinct sensations — each one demonstrated under the pulse on video, with the everyday comparisons that make them stick. A chart is something you look up. These are sensations you'll recognize — on the very next wrist.
Here's what's going to change
- The five elements stop being theory. They become five sensations you can find on any wrist — in seconds, at every intake.
- You read the patient, not just the complaint. The dominant element — the layer beneath the symptom list — becomes part of every diagnosis you make.
- Point selection gets a compass. Once you know the dominant element, choosing points to balance it stops being guesswork — you know what you're balancing and why.
- Your existing style gets sharper — nothing to unlearn. Keep your approach and add this within it. A one- or two-point needling before your main treatment takes a minute or two — it's a precise signal, so it doesn't need to last long.

Introduction — Finding the Dominant ElementFree preview — watch
Why symptoms are almost always written in an excess, why every excess compensates a deficiency — and why balancing beats chasing symptoms.
Finger Placement — How to Meet the PulseFree preview — watch
Where your fingers go, how much pressure, and how to stay with the pulse long enough to actually feel something.
The Pulse Qualities of the Five Elements
Wood, fire, earth, metal, water — each quality demonstrated under the pulse as a distinct sensation. The heart of the course.
Balancing Through Weak Meridians and Element Points
From reading to treating: the control cycle in practice — which elements balance the one that dominates, and how to pick the point that carries that energy on the weakened meridian.
Integration and Clinical Application
Bringing the constitutional read into your everyday diagnosis and your own style of practice — from the first intake on.

"I have been diagnosing from the pulse for over twenty years — and to this day, with every patient, at every visit, I give myself a few seconds just to feel, not to analyze. Because when you analyze, you no longer feel."
— Dr. Michal Richter · MD, acupuncturist · from Lesson 2 of this course
Built by a physician who reads the pulse every day.
I'm Dr. Michal Richter, MD. For 25 years I've done one thing: clinical acupuncture, full-time, in Katowice, Poland — 20 to 30 patients a day, every day. Every one of them begins at the wrist.
The five element pulse method in this course isn't a topic I researched for a curriculum. It's part of how I diagnose every patient — the first thing I check, before I decide anything else. I started teaching in 2009, because I kept meeting practitioners who knew the theory and still froze in front of a real wrist.
14-Day Guarantee. Watch it, take a pulse with it. If it doesn't make the five elements something you can actually feel, write one email within 14 days and you get 100% back — no forms, no questions.
Questions practitioners ask
Can I really learn to feel the pulse online?
It may seem strange to study pulse diagnosis online. We hear that we need a teacher for many years. But if you're learning tennis, you have a coach — and you still take technique from books and videos, then go apply it. If you already have some foundation, this is something you can add to your practice. This training has already helped many people — and the first two lessons are free, so you can judge for yourself.
Do I need experience?
If you know the basics of TCM and five element theory, you're ready. The course doesn't re-teach the theory — it teaches the feeling. Acupuncturists, TCM students and meridian-based therapists are all at home here.
How much practice will it take?
Examine one or two pulses a day this way — that's already a lot. After two weeks, maybe sooner, you'll be able to recognize the five elements. Your practice material is every wrist around you.
Only 17 minutes? Really?
Yes — and that's deliberate. This is a diagnostic lens, not hours of video. You already had the theory course; this one trains perception, and perception is trained at the wrist, not on the screen. No filler.
How is this different from the 12 Positions pulse course?
Two different reads, one wrist. Here you read the pulse at the general level, with three fingers: which element dominates. The 12 Positions course reads position by position: which meridian is in excess, which is deficient. They click together — Lesson 4 shows exactly how: the dominant element tells you what to balance, the weak position tells you where. Start with either.
Will it fit my style of practice?
Yes. The constitutional read isn't a school — it's information. TCM, five element acupuncture, Japanese styles, meridian therapy: whatever you practice, knowing who the patient is makes your own method sharper. Nothing to unlearn.
Do I get a certificate or CEU/PDA credits?
No — and that's deliberate. This course teaches a clinical skill, and the proof isn't paperwork — it's the constitution you'll read on your next patient. If what you need is CE credit, this isn't the right course.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime. One payment, no subscription. Return to it as your sensitivity deepens — the lessons read differently after a hundred wrists.
What if it doesn't work in my hands?
Use the 14-Day Guarantee: watch the course, take a pulse with it, and if the five elements aren't something you can actually feel, write one email for a full refund.
Before the symptoms, there's the constitution.
Learn to feel it.
Five qualities. Seventeen minutes. A read you'll use on every patient, at every visit, for the rest of your practice. You're invited.
